Change in the portfolio management of our Emerging Stars strategies
We would like to inform you of the following change in the portfolio management of our Emerging Stars strategies: the Lead Portfolio Manager, Jorry Rask Nøddekær, has decided to leave Nordea Asset Management to pursue new opportunities. Michael Wang, Jerry Wu and Peter Andersen have also resigned from the team.
In light of this development, Juliana Hansveden, CFA, and Emily Leveille, CFA become respectively Lead Portfolio Manager and co-Portfolio Manager with immediate effect. The core portfolio management team includes:
- Juliana Hansveden, CFA, joined NAM in 2014 and worked as co-Portfolio Manager on the Emerging Stars strategy. She is intimately familiar with the investment process and with the team and has been instrumental in building the track record of the strategy. Juliana went on extended maternity leave late 2016.
- Emily Leveille, CFA, joined the team in 2015 and has spent most of her career on Emerging markets where she was Senior Analyst for LatAm. Over the past three years, Emily has built a proven track record in supporting the strategy and we have all confidence that she will provide strong support to Juliana.
- Jakob Zierau joined the Fundamental Equity franchise in 2012 as analyst covering Middle East and Africa (MENA) region. Jakob is Portfolio Manager in the Emerging Market team managing our Global Frontier Markets strategy and he is part of the Core investment team for Emerging Stars.
This core portfolio management team will of course continue to rely on the 14- person strong analytical team focusing on specific Emerging Markets regions as well as global sectors. The team will also continue to pursue its close collaboration with our award-winning ESG analysis team.

Over the past years, our Fundamental Equity boutique headed by Kasper Elmgreen, to which this team belongs, has developed a robust and distinct investment process, with a strong focus on ESG integration. Both this process and the team-based approach that supported the success of the strategy, remain unchanged. We remain committed to continously enhance the quality and the performance of the solution we bring to our clients.
We are confident that the above appointments and the resulting team bring the right skillset, experience and intimacy with the strategy and its process to ensure full continuity in the performance and quality of the strategy.
